Van on the driveway. Quiet street. The marshes started maybe 200 metres east — you couldn't see them but you could feel the air was different. Damper.
Kitchen. Separate rear room, about 11ft by 9ft. Dated — 1990s base units, laminate worktop, vinyl floor. Freestanding cooker, Indesit, gas. Pull it forward. 3 years, family of four.
