Our Story

Built on One Simple Promise

Every property passes inspection. Every time. That’s the standard we set when we started Royal Cleaning in 2014, and it’s the standard we hold ourselves to with every single job today.

Royal Cleaning started in 2014, in a two-bedroom flat in South London. The idea was straightforward: too many tenants were losing deposits because of poor cleaning, and too many landlords were wasting time chasing re-cleans. There had to be a better way to do end of tenancy cleaning — one that actually worked for everyone involved.

The first year was small. One team, covering Lambeth and Southwark. Every job was an end of tenancy clean, and every clean had to pass the letting agent’s checkout inspection first time. That was the rule then. It still is.

What grew the business wasn’t marketing — it was results. Tenants got their deposits back. Landlords stopped getting callbacks. Letting agents had one fewer thing to chase. Word travelled. Within two years, we had over a hundred five-star reviews on Trustpilot and demand across more boroughs than we could cover.

So we grew — carefully. We hired cleaners who met our standards, not just anyone available. We invested in professional equipment. We built systems to handle same-day bookings across all 33 London boroughs without dropping quality. Today, we have over 890 reviews, a team that covers every postcode in London, and the same founding principle: if it doesn’t pass inspection, we haven’t finished.

Along the way, we’ve expanded beyond end of tenancy into deep cleaning, oven cleaning, carpet and upholstery care, and after-build cleans. But end of tenancy is where we started, where our reputation was built, and where the majority of our work still comes from. It’s the service we know better than anyone else in London.

What We Believe

The Principles Behind Every Clean

These aren’t slogans on a wall — they’re the decisions we make every day.

Standards Over Speed

We never work by the hour. Every job is done when it's done — to our checklist, not to a timer. If something isn't right, we stay until it is.

Transparency First

Fixed-price quotes. No hidden fees. Our Trustpilot reviews — all 892 of them — are public and unfiltered. We earn trust by being open about everything we do.

Accountability

Our 48-hour re-clean guarantee isn't a marketing line — it's an operational commitment. If an inspection flags an issue, we come back and fix it. No arguments, no charge.

People Matter

Every cleaner on our team is DBS-checked, insured, and trained to our standards. We treat our people well because that's how you build a team that takes pride in every job.
