Professional Deep Cleaning Across London
A restorative clean that goes beyond surface-level maintenance. We degrease, descale, scrub, and restore every room to a standard you can see and feel — whether you’re moving in, resetting after builders, or just overdue a proper clean.
What a deep clean actually involves
The term “deep cleaning” gets used loosely. For some companies it means a slightly longer version of a regular clean. At Royal Cleaning, a deep clean is a specific, restorative service designed to address months or years of accumulated grime, grease, limescale, dust, and general buildup that routine cleaning doesn’t reach.
This is the service you need when a property hasn’t been properly cleaned in a while — or when it has been regularly cleaned, but never to the level where someone gets behind the oven, inside the extractor hood, or underneath the bathroom basin pedestal. A deep clean in London is often the first step before setting up a regular cleaning schedule, because it brings every surface back to a baseline that a weekly or fortnightly cleaner can maintain.
The scope is similar to our end of tenancy cleaning service, with one important distinction: deep cleans are designed for properties that are lived in or furnished. We work around your belongings, move accessible furniture to clean behind it, and restore the spaces you actually use every day. End of tenancy cleaning, by contrast, is optimised for empty properties and checkout inspections — if that’s what you need, see our dedicated end of tenancy page.
What we clean — and how

Six reasons people book a deep clean
Deep cleaning isn’t just for spring. These are the most common scenarios we handle across London every week.
New home move-in
Moving into a property that wasn't cleaned to your standard? A deep clean resets the space before you unpack.
Post-renovation refresh
Builders leave dust everywhere — in vents, behind radiators, inside cupboards. A deep clean after building work makes the property liveable again.
Seasonal reset
Quarterly or biannual deep cleans keep a property at a baseline that regular cleaning maintains. Popular with homeowners and landlords between tenancies.
Letting agency turnaround
Property sitting empty between tenants? A deep clean prepares it for viewings and gives the next occupant a fresh start — without the formality of a full end of tenancy scope.
Airbnb / short-let reset
Between guest bookings, a targeted deep clean handles the wear that regular changeover cleans miss — grout, oven interiors, behind furniture, and fabric odours.
Health and wellbeing
Dust mite buildup, pet dander in upholstery, mould in bathroom grout — a deep clean addresses the allergens and irritants that accumulate over time.
Deep clean vs end of tenancy clean
Both services share a similar scope, but the context determines which one is right for you. If you’re moving out and need to pass a checkout inspection, our end of tenancy cleaning is the better fit. For everything else, a deep clean is what you need.

How deep cleaning works with Royal Cleaning
Booking a deep clean follows the same process as any of our services. You tell us the property size, what areas need attention, and your preferred date. We confirm a fixed price — no hourly rates, no surprise invoices — and assign a team based on your location and property size.
On the day, the team arrives with everything they need: professional-grade cleaning products for every surface type, vacuum cleaners, mops, microfibre cloths, scrubbing tools, extendable poles for high ceilings, and protective sheeting for floors. You don’t need to provide anything except access to the property.
For occupied properties, we work room by room so there’s always somewhere for you to be. We move accessible furniture — sofas, beds, dining tables — clean behind and beneath it, and return everything to its original position. Fragile items, electronics, and personal belongings are cleaned around without being moved unless you specifically ask.
Teams are DBS-checked and fully insured. We operate across all 33 London boroughs seven days a week, including bank holidays. Same-day availability is often possible for deep cleans — call us before 10am to check. For larger properties or specific requirements, we recommend booking 2–3 days ahead to ensure we can allocate the right team size.

Deep cleaning FAQ
What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean maintains a property that's already in good condition — wiping surfaces, hoovering, mopping. A deep clean is restorative. It targets buildup: grease in ovens, limescale on chrome, grime in grout, dust behind furniture. It's the reset that makes regular cleaning effective again.
How long does a deep clean take?
A studio takes 3–4 hours. A 2-bed flat is typically 5–6 hours. Larger properties (3–5 bedrooms) take 6–9 hours depending on condition. We send enough team members to complete the job in a single visit.
Is deep cleaning the same as end of tenancy cleaning?
They overlap significantly in scope, but the context is different. End of tenancy cleaning is designed to pass a checkout inspection — the property must be empty and the standard is defined by the agent or landlord. Deep cleaning is for occupied or recently vacated properties where the goal is a thorough, restorative clean. We cover both — see our full end of tenancy cleaning service for details.
Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. Many clients leave a key or provide entry instructions. If you prefer to be present, that's fine too — we'll work around you room by room.
Can I add carpet or upholstery cleaning?
Yes — carpet steam cleaning, sofa cleaning, mattress cleaning, and curtain cleaning can all be added to any deep clean booking. These are done with hot water extraction machines as part of the same visit.
Do you bring your own products and equipment?
Yes. Our teams carry professional-grade products for every surface type — degreasers, descalers, anti-mould treatments, glass cleaners, and antibacterial solutions. We also bring our own vacuum cleaners, mops, and steam equipment. You don't need to provide anything.
